The 22 Black Powder Rifle Association was created in 2010. This association was created by shooters and is run by the shooters. The Association has a 9-person board of directors that are elected by the shooters for 3-year terms. The office of president, vice president, treasure, and secretary are then voted on and elected by the directors.
The association provides a family friendly atmosphere that promotes gun safety and encourages all shooters to come out and have fun. Since 2010 the association has put on a National Championship Match that is held in Raton, New Mexico at the NRA Whittington Center that can accommodate up to 160 shooters. Many 22 BPCRA matches are shot throughout the US at several different ranges. If your club would like to start having 22BPCRA matches and need a little help, reach out to one of the directors and we will do what we can to help get you started.
